The School of Mathematics & Science would like to invite you to participate in the 10th Singapore Polytechnic Microsoft® Office Specialist (MOS) Challenge 2013. There are two categories for this competition, one for Microsoft Excel and another for Microsoft Word. The competition will be tested using Microsoft Office 2010 Version. Do not despair if you have not been trained in using the Office 2010 version because we will provide you with training material, workshops and preparatory test software with guided solution to prepare you for the certification once you have signed up!
Participants can join either or both categories. The exam certification fee is a special academic pricing of $78 (prices before GST), instead of the usual commercial pricing of $155 (+ GST). However, SP students (for certain schools) will now only pay an attractive subsidized rate of $43.50 for taking each MOS examination. Upon registration, students will receive a free training manual worth $40!
The SP MOS Challenge 2013 will be scheduled on 24 and 26 April 2013 (You get to choose your own day & 1 hour timeslot, subject to availability).

Microsoft® Office Specialist program is a globally recognized and the premier certification for Microsoft Office suite of application software. The Microsoft Office Specialist Examination is on a computerised, performance-based (also known as Task-based) format with a time limit as specified in the examination rule by Microsoft. Each participant competes to score the highest mark and in the event of a tie, the shortest time will be considered. Participants who score a certain standard minimum passing mark (to be decided by Microsoft) will be eligible to be a Certified Microsoft® Office Specialist, receiving the internationally recognised certification from Microsoft .

All Participants will also be awarded 2 CCA points, door gifts and a chance to win in a Lucky Draw. In addition, prize winners will be receiving trophy and may be awarded up to 5 CCA points. All prize winners will also be sponsored and trained to participate in the National competition where you stand a chance to participate in the World competition in Washington!
