The 10th SP MOS Challenge 2013

 
The 10th SP MOS Challenge 2013 was held on 24 and 26 Apr 2013. This year, the event attracted a total of 96 student participants. The Award Ceremony was held in T725 on 24 Jul 2013. Invited guests from Microsoft Singapore and Certiport Ptd Ltd attended the ceremony.

AMM Award Ceremony

Three teams of Advanced Math 3 (or AMM3) students from DASE and DME received the top three prizes from NTU School of Physical and Mathematical Science Representative, Dr Fedor Duzhin, on 7 August 2013 for their Problem-Based Learning solutions. The solutions were submitted as part of an AMM3 assignment designed by NTU Professor David Adams based on a talk that he gave to students on 8 May 2013. The award ceremony was attended by NTU representatives, MS lecturers, SEEE and MAE AMM representatives as well as the diploma Course Managers of the award recipients. The ceremony ended with a candid sharing by the recipients regarding their learning journey in solving the challenging PBL assignment followed by a tea reception where students, SP staff, and NTU representatives mingled and took photos to remember the event.

AMM3 Talk + Tea Party

The AMM3 Talk + Tea Party that was conducted on 8 May 2013 at LT1A saw an attendance of about 130 participants comprising AMM students and MS lecturers. 

Puzzle games were played prior to the talk and the winners are Sherwin, Jiale and Teng Chuen. 

Professor David Adams from NTU then delivered his talk titled Gravity, Differential Equations & Satellites, which relates to an AMM3 PBL problem that students will need to complete for the module. 

This was followed by a tea reception which provided an opportunity for students and staff to mingle and take photos.
